James T. Dufour is an environmental and OSHA attorney, certified industrial hygienist, and registered environmental assessor with three decades of experience in environmental and OSHA regulatory compliance.   His experience includes 16years of private practice, 6 years with the U.S. Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, 7 years with Stauffer Chemical Company in Westport, Connecticut and San Francisco, California.   He has been a consultant to the U.S. EPA, Fed/OSHA, California Chamber of Commerce, Semiconductor Industry Association, California Fertilizer Association and other industry groups and private firms.   He has written numerous OSHA and environmental compliance manuals many of which are published by the California Chamber of Commerce which are used by thousands of employers and has conducted hundreds of seminars for business representatives.   He holds his law degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.   Dufour was admitted to practice in California in 1983.

Jim Dufour is a founder and principal of the Dufour Law Group which provides regulatory compliance services and environmental and OSHA advice and counsel and representation in enforcement actions.   He also serves as a litigation consultant and expert in selected environmental and other cases.   Regulatory Compliance Services of the practices devises cost-effective and practical regulatory compliance programs for private clients and trade groups in many different industries.
